ORIGINAL: 2004

Police were looking for a Kelowna man alleged to have been violent and on the run.

Police alleged William Bruce Koshel, 38, broke into his ex-girlfriend's home in Vernon on May 3.

He then fled to his workplace in Winfield, where he stole a Mack tractor-trailer unit. Three days later, he was involved in police pursuit in Vancouver where he rammed two cruisers while making his escape.

Koshel was also wanted for theft over $5,000 in Prince George.

Police believed it was highly likely Koshel would return to the Okanagan and warned the public not to approach him, but to call the authorities.

Koshel is described as Caucasian, five feet nine inches tall, 180 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and possibly sporting a goatee.
