Hells Angel Busted

A member of the Hells Angels wanted for two murders is on his way back to Montreal to face the charges.

Louis Cartier, 39, was arrested last Thursday at the Kelowna courthouse while visiting his probation officer.

He's wanted for two murders in the Montreal area linked to the biker war that rocked Quebec between 1994 and 2001.

Cartier is charged with two counts of first degree murder.

The first murder was a case of mistaken identity. A 39-year-old Montreal man was killed in 1999 after being mistaken for a drug trafficker with links to the Dark Circle -- a group at war with the Hells Angels.

The second murder Cartier is alleged to have committed occurred in 2000 when a small time drug dealer with links to the Hells Angels arch rival the Rock Machine was killed.

Cartier was the right hand man of a biker named Louis "Melou" Roy -- one of the founding members of the Hells Angels in Trois Riviere, Que.

Roy hasn't been seen since 2000.

Cartier is being transferred from Kelowna to Montreal this week.
