Fan expo announced

The Okanagan will be hosting its second, and expanded “Comic-Con” style event this coming Spring.

Presented once again by New Vintage Theatre, the newly named KFX will be an annual event that will transport the interior of BC to a world of comics, manga/anime, Sci-Fi, fantasy, horror, gaming, movies and more.

This year the Kelowna Community Theatre will be playing host to this unique show.

The KCT stage will feature celebrity guests, panels, Q/A's, live performances and experiences you won't find anywhere else.

Attendees will also be able to peruse the exciting array of booths presented by established and emerging talent from the world of fan-culture.

Many are expected to attend in costume and take part in the “KFX Cosplay Contest”, with the potential to win fantastic prizes.

As was the case last year, Kelowna’s John Delaney, artist for graphic novels of The Simpsons as well as past artist behind Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Scooby Doo, will be one of the many prominent artists featured at this year’s festival.

The event is designed to be an all ages experience that will encompass many areas of The Okanagan’s vibrant artistic community.

Teasers for the event will be regularly posted on KelownaFX.com, also through Twitter™ and Facebook™. Stay tuned as the entertainment lineup, special guests, exhibitors and sponsors are revealed over the course of the next few months.

KFX 2015 will take place on March 21, 2015 at the Kelowna Community Theatre, The Black Box Theatre, Rotary Centre For The Arts and Kelowna Public Library. Doors will open for general pass-holders at 12 p.m., with VIP pass holders allowed to enter at 11 a.m.

Events will continue throughout the day and into the evening.
