Gifts sought for children's X-mas party

A Kelowna non-profit is looking for toy donations ahead of their annual Children’s Christmas Party, to be held Dec. 21 at The Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society.

They are expecting approximately 200 kids to drop by the event, and are looking for gifts and other fun activities for the party.

“The Halloween and Christmas party are our biggest events,” says Jill Setah.

“We’re looking for toys for kids aged 0-12, for both boys and girls. Just anything that people are willing to donate and I’m sure the kids will appreciate it.“

The society will also be providing Christmas dinner on Dec. 24, with two separate meals taking place at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

“We do a Feed the People, which is basically for the homeless and our low income families as well that can come out an enjoy a meal.”

Anyone looking to make a donation can drop off their items at 442 Leon Ave or call 250-763-4905.
