Kelowna missing woman found

Update: Nov. 14

Valerie Hunter has been located and she is safe.

Kelowna RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in locating a 64-year-old Kelowna woman after she was reported missing earlier this week.

Shortly after 5 p.m. Monday, Nov 11 RCMP received a report of a missing person from a home on the 200 block of McCurdy Road.

Valerie Hunter had apparently left the home on Saturday in order to visit her parents in the Glenrosa area, but never made it there, she failed to return home and has not been seen since.

Hunter suffers from a condition which could leave her disoriented and distressed if left untreated.

She is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 5'6" with a thin build
  • Shoulder length grey hair which is usually worn in a bun
  • Last seen wearing grey pants and a green jacket

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Valerie Hunter is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
