Smoke rising from the Juniper Ridge area on Monday morning is from a controlled burn.
In a social media post, KFR notified Juniper residents the burn was taking place above Galore Crescent.
A number of controlled burns are happening throughout the Kamloops area this spring, intended to remove the build-up of brush and plant material and reduce wildfire risk.
