The Thompson-Nicola Regional District wants to know what its residents think about regional district services and taxation.
In a news release, the TNRD announced it has launched a survey to get resident feedback about which services matter the most, and which services should be introduced, expanded, reduced or eliminated.
“This feedback will be used to help inform strategic planning sessions to take place in the spring of 2023,” the regional district said in a statement.
“The strategic plan will establish a strategic approach to addressing priorities and challenges in the TNRD, and will serve as a tool for determining the allocation of financial and human resources.”
The survey will be open until Feb. 28, 2023, and is available online or by paper copy upon request.
The regional district said it provides services, ranging from local, sub-regional or region-side services, to 10 electoral areas and 11 member municipalities. Levels of service provided by the TNRD vary across electoral areas and municipalities, so the levels of taxation vary by community.
The online survey is available here. Paper copies can be requested by contacting the TNRD communications department at [email protected], or by calling 250-377-8673.
