Highway 5 north of Kamloops reopens to single lane at crash site

Highway 5 north of Kamloops has reopened to single-lane, alternating traffic at the scene of a crash early this morning.

The incident is between Jane Road and Orchard Lake Road.

DriveBC says to expect minor delays.

Highway 5 is closed this morning north of Kamloops due to a collision.

DriveBC reports the route is closed in both directions due to a vehicle incident between Jane Road and Orchard Lake Road.

The incident affects a 5.7 kilometre stretch about 10 km north of Kamloops.

A scene assessment is in progress.

No detour is available.

The severity of the incident and any injuries involved is not known at this time.
