Police arrested a pair and seized drugs and bear spray from a vehicle following an early-morning traffic stop Tuesday in North Kamloops.
According to Mounties, an officer making patrols near the corner of Cornwall Street and Kent Avenue — just south of Halston Avenue near Schubert Drive — pulled over a vehicle with no front license plate just after 3:30 a.m.
RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said the constable noticed a can of bear spray in the back seat.
“Further investigation led to the discovery of several different kinds of suspected drugs, including seven grams of fentanyl, approximately 32 grams of meth, 44 grams of cocaine and 25 pills, also believed to be controlled drugs and substances,” she said.
“All were seized, along with the bear spray.”
Evelyn said two people were arrested and released at the scene, pending the outcome of the police investigation.
