Tickets now available for Mozart show with Kamloops Symphony

Mozart's Dark Side will be on display next month at Sagebrush Theatre.

Kamloops Symphony will hold its next Noran Masterworks concert for the 2022-23 season on Feb. 4 at 7:30 pm at the Sagebrush Theatre, titled Mozart’s Dark Side.

The program includes In the Time of Our Disbelieving by Kelly-Marie Murphy, a well known composer who’s music has been performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, The Mozarteum in Salzburg and the National Concert Hall in Dublin.

Mozart’s Piano Concerto in D Minor performed by The Kamloops Symphony Orchestra with guest artist Charles Richard-Hamelin, an award winning Canadian pianist who has performed as a soloist with more than 50 ensembles across the world.

“We have been looking to showcase concert pianist Charles Richard-Hamelin to our Kamloops and Salmon Arm audiences for such a long time and are very excited to finally share the stage him," KSO Music Director Dina Gilbert said of Richard-Hamelin.

"You won’t want to miss the performance of this Canadian pianist who is one of the most talented and awarded pianist of his generation.”

The program ends with Finnish composer Jean Sibelius' orchestral suite for Maurice Maeterlinck’s play Pelléas and Mélisande.

Tickets are $49.99 or $44.99 for Seniors, $10 for youths under 19 and $15 for KSOundcheck members. They are available at the Kamloops Live! Box Office.
