Kamloops RCMP looking for witnesses after North Shore vehicle fire

Vehicle fire investigated

Kamloops Mounties are investigating after a suspicious vehicle fire happened on the North Shore on Monday night.

In a news release, Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said police attended an apartment building parking lot on the 100-block of Tamarack Avenue at about 9 p.m. to help Kamloops Fire Rescue with a vehicle fire.

“The fire involved a blue mini van and may have begun around 8:45 p.m., according to information obtained as part of the ongoing investigation,” Evelyn said.

Evelyn said two men were observed in the area around the time of the fire.

“One was described as shorter and bald in a white undershirt, the other as having a buzz cut, grey sweater and facial hair,” Evelyn said.

Anyone who witnessed the vehicle fire, or who may have video footage related to the investigation, is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.
