Christmas with the KSO

The Kamloops Symphony’s annual Christmas celebration will return next month with three performances.

Christmas with the KSO will run twice on Dec. 17 and once on Dec. 18, featuring a program filled with festive music performed by the orchestra and harp soloist Naomi Cloutier, led by guest conductor Antonio Delgado.

Delgado, a renowned conductor in his native Venezuela, will lead the orchestra through a performance of Benjamin Britten’s popular Ceremony of Carols for choir and harp, selections from Tchaikovsky’s festive favourite The Nutcracker and excerpt from Handel’s perennially popular Messiah.

Performances on Dec. 17 are at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The Dec. 18 performance will be at 2 p.m. All shows will be at Sagebrush Theatre.

Tickets are $49.99, or $44.99 for seniors. Youths under 19 can get in for $10, and KSOundcheck members’ tickets are $15.

BCLC is also providing 150 complimentary tickets for non-profit societies or organizations. Applications are being accepts on the Kamloops Symphony’s website.
