City warns of potential traffic impacts from drilling for dike inspections

Drilling inspections will take place Tuesday along a dike near Schubert Drive, between Halston Avenue and Beach Avenue, according to the City of Kamloops.

The City of Kamloops says traffic flow on Schubert Drive may be impacted on Tuesday as a contractor conducts dike inspections in the area.

In a statement, the city said WSP Canada will complete drilling inspections on the dike located along Schubert Drive between Halston Avenue and Beach Avenue from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

“In work areas, traffic may be reduced to single-lane alternating,” the city said.

“Sidewalks and bike lanes may be closed in work zones, but pedestrians and cyclists will be accommodated.”
