Witnesses sought after stabbing sends man to hospital with life-threatening injuries

Cops probe serious stabbing

Kamloops Mounties are investigating a serious stabbing on the North Shore that landed a man in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to police, emergency crews were called to the parking lot outside Northhills Mall at about 1 a.m. on Monday for a report of a man suffering serious stab wounds.

RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said the man was transported to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

“Police are currently in the process of reviewing surveillance in the area and collecting evidence,” she said.

“Anyone who witnessed or was involved in the assault is asked to please contact police as soon as possible.”

Specifically, Evelyn said investigators are hoping to hear from witnesses with dash-cam or security footage.
