
There were 28 thefts from motor vehicles and seven bike thefts reported to Kamloops police over a period of one week in early September.
Kamloops RCMP statistics from Sept. 5 to Sept. 11 show there were 19 thefts from cars reported on the south shore, and eight such thefts were reported in North Kamloops.
There were nine thefts from motor vehicles reported downtown, while three happened while vehicles were parked in Sahali, near Summit Drive, Columbia Street and Notre Dame Drive.
Two thefts were reported to police in Upper Sahali, and one theft happened while the vehicle was parked in Dufferin.
According to police data, four thefts were reported from Valleyview.
Five thefts from motor vehicles happened while cars were parked on the North Shore, two thefts happened in Brocklehurst neighbourhoods and one theft was reported from Batchelor Heights.
There were seven bicycle thefts reported to RCMP from Sept. 5 to Sept. 11.
Three bicycles were taken from the North Shore, in an area near Eighth Street and Tranquille Road. Three bicycles were reported stolen from the Aberdeen and Hillside Drive areas.
One bicycle was taken from the Lorne Street area downtown.
