Canadian Walk for Veterans returns this month

The Canadian Walk for Veterans will return to the Tournament Capital later this month.

The national event will return as an in-person event in 11 cities, including Kamloops, to raise awareness of the plight of Canadian veterans, first responders and foreign nationals who have supported Canadian troops in conflict zones.

Locally, the walk was organized by the Order of Sainte George, with net proceeds being donated to the True Patriot Love Afghan Resettlement campaign.

Canadian Walk for Veterans in Kamloops will be at McArthur Island Park on Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
