Kamloopa Powwow puts out call for volunteers as event approaches

With less than a month to go until the event takes place for the first time in three years, the Kamloopa Powwow is looking for volunteers.

Organizers have openings for roles in concession, janitorial, gates/parking, maintenance, Monday clean-up and security.

Volunteers must be aged 15 or older, and the positions come with an honorarium of $12.50 per hour.

Those looking to volunteer in security must pass a criminal record check.

After back-to-back pandemic-related cancellations, the powwow will return on July 29 and run through July 31.
