Report of trespassing leads to arrest of wanted man, police say

A trespassing investigation led to the capture of a wanted man, police say.

Mounties said they were called to a store in the 1000-block of Columbia Street West on Saturday for a report of a man inside who had been banned.

A man wanted on warrants for theft and failure to comply with a probation order was arrested, police said.

According to police, Dustin Joel Poudrier, 34, of Kamloops, was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Police said Poudrier was released with a new court date.
