Witnesses sought after stabbing on Victoria Street sends man to hospital

Mounties are looking for witnesses after a stabbing Monday on Victoria Street landed a man in hospital with injuries to his hand and chest.

Police were called to the 700-block of Victoria St. about 5:30 p.m. on Monday to assist BC Ambulance Service paramedics.

RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn said the man had cuts to his hands and chest. She said he was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“The man refused to provide a statement, but told police the incident occurred in an alley nearby,” she said.
