Missing Kamloops woman has been located, sister says

Missing city woman located

UPDATE: Lindsie Manywounds says her sister was located on Sunday morning and is now in contact with family.

A Kamloops woman is hoping tips from the public will help her track down her sister, who hasn’t been in contact with family in more than three weeks.

Stacey Manywounds, 39, was last in touch with family on Remembrance Day, according to her sister, Lindsie.

“Everyone we’ve talked to who she’s been known to be with or have contact with has not been in contact with her,” Lindsie told Castanet Kamloops.

Manywounds, who also goes by Anastasia, is described as a First Nations woman standing five-foot-eight and weighing about 120 pounds. She has black or blonde hair.

According to her sister, Manywounds is known to have stayed at the Memorial Arena shelter about a week and a half ago, but no one has seen her since then.

Police are aware and a file has been created, Lindsie said, with file number 21-42007.

Anyone with information can call police at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Lindsie said she will also welcome tips at 236-313-0170.
