Thefts from motor vehicles decline in final week of November, police say

Thefts from cars decrease

There were 10 thefts from motor vehicles reported in Kamloops during the last full week of November — a marked decrease from previous weeks.

According to Kamloops RCMP, between Nov. 22 and Nov. 28 there were two thefts from cars reported on the North Shore, both near Tranquille Road.

Two such thefts happened downtown, near Seymour Street, while one happened while a vehicle was parked near McGill Road and Summit Drive in Sahali.

Two more thefts were reported from Valleyview, one from Westsyde, and another from a Mount Paul-area neighbourhood.

According to police, there were 43 thefts from motor vehicles reported in the first two weeks of November — 19 from Nov. 1 to Nov. 7, and 24 the following week.
