RCMP remain at Mount Paul trailer park; trailer searched by police Friday belongs to missing woman's ex-boyfriend

Police could be seen searching a fifth wheel at Silver Sage trailer park on Friday. Mounties said the search was related to their investigation into missing Kamloops woman Shannon White.

Mounties remained on scene at a Mount Paul trailer park throughout the day Sunday, with two police cars stationed in front of a fifth wheel belonging to the ex-boyfriend of a missing Kamloops woman.

Kamloops RCMP announced Friday a police presence in Silver Sage trailer park was related to an ongoing investigation into 32-year-old Shannon White’s disappearance, with officers also searching an unidentified area west of the city.

Since then, police appear to have remained in the trailer park, focused on Unit 32. Investigators could be seen searching the fifth wheel on Friday.

Police have not publicly stated whether they have identified any suspects at this stage in the investigation.

People who know White have confirmed the trailer belongs to her ex-boyfriend.

White was reported missing on Monday, Nov. 1 after she didn’t show up for her work shift that morning.

Police have said they believe White’s distinct Jeep left Kamloops for about 45 minutes on Nov. 1, and it was seen during the time to be travelling on the highway west of the city.

Anyone with information related to White’s disappearance is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.

A travel trailer searched by police on Friday in connection with the disappearance of a Kamloops woman belongs to the missing woman's ex-boyfriend, Castanet Kamloops has learned.

Investigators searched a fifth wheel at Unit 32 in Silver Sage trailer park on Friday. Mounties remained on scene into the late afternoon on Saturday.

Police confirmed the search was connected to their investigation into the disappearance of Shannon White, but they have not publicly stated whether they have any suspects in the probe.

A number of people who know White and are familiar with the situation have told Castanet Kamloops the trailer belongs to a man White used to date.

Rob Woytuck said White's ex lives in the trailer searched on Friday. Woytuck lived at Unit 32 before the current resident moved onto the property. He said he's met White and her ex and he keeps in touch with people in trailer park.

“I don't know him well. Only met Shannon a couple times,” Woytuck said.

“I didn't know it was her missing until a neighbour in [Silver Sage] told me.”

White, 32, was reported missing on Nov. 1 after she didn’t show up for a shift at Kamloops Hyundai.

Her landlord, Matt Hatch, said White rents a basement suite in his Lower Sahali house. He said he spoke to her as recently as Halloween night and saw her vehicle driving away, apparently to work, on the morning of her disappearance.

Hatch also confirmed White's ex-boyfriend lives at Silver Sage.

RCMP and search and rescue crews searched an area west of Kamloops on Friday, also in connection with White's disappearance. Police said they believe her Jeep left Kamloops city limits for about 45 minutes on Nov. 1, and it was spotted during that time on the highway west of the city.
