Trans-Canada Highway fully reopens after crash west of Chase

Crash cleared near Chase

DriveBC reports BC Hwy 1 has now fully reopened west of Chase from Chief Neskonlith Dr. to Willow Rd, following a collision earlier in the evening.

UPDATE 8:40 p.m.

DriveBC says the Trans-Canada Highway is now open to single-lane alternating traffic following a crash Sunday evening.

The route was closed west of Chase, between Chief Neskonlith Dr. and Willow Rd.

While traffic is moving at the scene, crews are still working on vehicle recovery.

UPDATE 8:15 p.m.

The highway is closed again at the scene of the crash.

DriveBC says crews are doing vehicle removal. No timeline was given for how long the route will be shut.

Update 7:55 p.m.

The Trans-Canada Highway has reopened west of Chase.

A collision had closed the highway between Chief Neskonlith Dr. and Willow Rd., but traffic is moving again.

Original 6:52 p.m.

A crash has shut down the Tran-Canada Highway west of Chase.

DriveBC says the route is closed to all but emergency vehicles from Chief Neskonlith Dr. to Willow Rd.

The next update from DriveBC is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
