Cool temperatures, but lots of sun in store for the weekend

Fall-like weekend ahead

It’s a good weekend to go apple picking or visit the pumpkin patch, or any other autumn activity you can think of, as Saturday and Sunday are shaping up to be beautiful fall-weather days.

It may not technically be fall yet — that will come on Wednesday — but with cooler temperatures and leaves on the ground it will feel like it in Kamloops this weekend.

After a chilly Friday with a high of 16 C and a chance of rain, Environment Canada's forecast is calling for a mix of sun and clouds on Saturday and Sunday.

Highs are expected to reach 20 C on Saturday and 17 C on Sunday, with overnight lows dipping to 10 C both days.

The fall weather is expected to continue into early next week, with highs of 19 C on Monday and 20 C on Tuesday.
