A Kamloops man is back behind bars after allegedly pulling a knife on police and refusing to drop it.
Mounties said they were called to the 600-block of Brandon Avenue on Wednesday for a report of a man wanted on warrants for failing to comply with his parole conditions.
“The man was allegedly uncooperative and refused to drop a knife he was holding,” RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn said in a news release.
“When negotiations failed, officers deployed a conductive energy device several times, but its impact was ineffective. A frontline officer was able to knock the knife away from the man, allowing for this safe arrest.”
James Bradbury, 40, was taken to hospital for a medical assessment and then transported to Kamloops Regional Correctional Centre, Evelyn said.
