Names of those who overdosed in B.C. from 2017 to 2019 written on wooden stakes.
Kamloops’ Moms Stop the Harm and Addiction Matters are paying tribute to those gone too soon with a Lost Souls walk-by memorial on April 14.
From 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., residents can walk the trail between Riverside Park and Pioneer Park as part of the event.
British Columbia declared the overdose crisis a public health emergency almost five years ago, and B.C. has recorded more than 7,000 illicit drug-related deaths since.
It's almost 5 years since BC declared the #overdose public health emergency. If you're in #Kamloops check out this walk-by tribute along the river path, from Moms Stop the Harm and Addiction Matters. "Lost Souls" April 14, 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. pic.twitter.com/RUjAf3jAzd
