Two City of Kamloops engagement groups are looking for new members

City looks for volunteers

The City of Kamloops is looking for residents to be involved in two city engagement groups.

The agricultural engagement group has openings for two members to volunteer for a two-year term and the development cost charges engagement group is looking for two members to serve a one-year term.

Engagement groups meet at least four times per year and consist of city staff, stakeholders and members of public.

In a press release, the city said it is looking for innovative thinkers, good collaborators and people who offer constructive ideas in a group setting.

The city is looking for those with prior experience working with city staff on projects and familiar with the engagement group’s related fields with a demonstrated track record of commitment to the community.

According to the city, both engagement groups support the work of city council’s standing development and sustainability committee.

Applications for these positions are open until 4 p.m. on Feb. 12. Interested residents can find more details about eligibility on the City of Kamloops website, and applicants are asked to email a cover letter and resume to [email protected].
