Kamloops man tells police he was robbed while walking across Red Bridge

Police are investigating after a man reported being held up by masked men while walking on the Red Bridge early Friday morning.

According to Mounties, the man said he was headed north on the bridge at about 1:30 a.m. when a dark SUV stopped next to him. He said two men then got out, deployed bear spray and demanded he turn over everything he had.

Police said the man complied and the robbers fled.

No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
