Suspect in violent August assault in Blind Bay arrested in downtown Kamloops

Wanted man picked up

A man wanted for attempted murder in the Shuswap was arrested Monday in downtown Kamloops.

Police were called just after 10 a.m. and told Terrance Jones was on Victoria Street. Mounties located him a short time later and he was arrested without incident.

The 40-year-old faces one count each of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and robbery with a firearm, among others.

The charges stem from an incident in Blind Bay in August in which a man was stabbed.

Jones is being held in custody and will likely appear in court later this week.
