Kamloops Mounties are on the hunt for suspects after an attempted car jacking early Monday morning.

According to police, a woman sleeping in her vehicle on Kokanee Way in Dallas was awoken by a pair of men who said they were taking her car.

“A struggle occurred in which she was assaulted before breaking free and driving away,” RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn said in a news release.

One of the suspects is described as possibly First Nations, in his 20s and standing six feet tall. He had pock-marked skin, no facial hair and was wearing a black baseball hat with white and red on it.

There is no description of the second suspect.
