Arrest made after Kamloops homeowner finds drunk man in hot tub

An unauthorized drunken dip in a Kamloops family’s hot tub landed a city man in jail over the weekend.

Mounties were called just after 6 a.m. on Saturday after a resident on Hudson Bay Trail found someone rummaging through their shed. A window was broken at a nearby construction site a short time later.

“About an hour later in the same area, a homeowner woke up to find an intoxicated man in their hot tub,” Kamloops RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn said in a news release.

The man was arrested and held until sober.
