Hospital construction to cause temporary traffic disruption

Upcoming traffic disruption

Traffic flow for Royal Inland Hospital patients will be temporarily impacted this week due to multiple construction cranes being dismantled on-site, according to Interior Health.

From January 11 to 17, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., the ring road leading to the patient drop-off roundabout will be down to single lane traffic. Short-term parking spaces near the roundabout will also be closed.

Mobility-restricted and physician parking at Ponderosa Lodge will also be impacted. However, there will be no change in access to the public parkade at the hospital's Clinical Services building.

Interior Health says signage will be put in place, and traffic control flaggers will be at both locations to assist with the flow of traffic.
