One man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries as a result of a snowmobile crash near 100 Mile House Saturday night.

Emergency crews responded just after 9 p.m. to reports of an accident involving a single snowmobile on Simon Lake, northeast of 100 Mile House.

According to a statement from 100 Mile House RCMP, the man had been driving on the lake when he hit a large bump in the ice, rolling the snowmobile several times.

Ice conditions, darkness and speed were determined to be causes of the accident.
