Video shows unsafe pass by large truck on BC highway

A driver is raising concerns after a near miss while driving on a BC highway recently near Valemont.

Sean Gartside has shared a video on Facebook showing a near miss he recorded Nov. 29 where the truck he's driving is passed by another transport truck. As the truck passes his an oncoming pickup truck is forced on to the shoulder of the highway.

The frightening video has garnered significant attention on social media, where one version has been shared 700 times and hundreds of comments have been written.

Gartside has commented on Facebook that he's glad people are sharing the video and highlighting the unsafe driving, but he adds he hasn't heard from the company which runs the truck or Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement, the safety regulator for commercial vehicles.
