Kamloops couple goes viral with eyebrow shave challenge

Justin Young gets his eyebrows shaved off.

A Kamloops couple's challenge to others during self-isolation is taking off.

Justin Young and Justine Manuel decided that because they weren't going to be in public for awhile, they'd challenge others to something they figured no one would do if they had to go out.

They shaved off each other's eyebrows and posted a video on Facebook. It proved a popular concept.

"They will grow back," Young writes in the post. "We hope so anyway."

The original video has been seen over 100,000 times, and has been shared over 7,000 times.

Young also took the opportunity to send a message of solidarity and hope to others.

"We sure do got a virus to beat," he writes. "Social distancing and self Isolating for now is the life for us, for a brighter tomorrow. Doing the things today that our future selves will thank us for."

In a comment posted later, Young says he's glad people are having fun with the video.

"This is so awesome everyone, thanks for all the love, and sharing. We woke up this morning and spent the day with out eyebrows, our first day ever like this," he says. "We laughed and giggled at each other throughout the day."
