KISS Film Festival returns in March

The Kamloops Independent Short Short Film Festival (KISS Fest) is accepting submissions for its seventh annual event on March 10.

Screening locally made short films all afternoon at the Paramount Theatre, KISS Fest not only gives area directors a chance to show their creations off to an audience but also a chance to win cash prizes ranging from $100 to $750. First place last year went to Josef Perszon, for his short film Holy Dungarees.

KISS Fest is open to all ages. Every film must be under five minutes long, filmmakers can't have been paid to make the film and participants must reside in the Thompson-Nicola Regional District.

The deadline to submit a film is Feb. 28. Films can be submitted at Moviemart on a DVD or USB after filling out an entry form and paying the $10 entry fee.
