A horse and rider were struck by a train near Kamloops this morning.
About 10:30 a.m., RCMP responded to a call that a man riding a horse was hit by train in the Rayleigh area.
The man was taken to the hospital to be examined, but the horse was killed, police say.
The incident happened near Devick Road.
Traffic on both road and rail was delayed while police investigated the scene.
