The star of the horror franchise 'It' will have some competition scaring people when the Field of Screams takes place in Kamloops for the first time.

Historic O'Keefe Ranch will be hosting its own Field of Screams again this year, and a second Field of Screams will be held at Kamloops' Sunset Valley Farms, 3275 Tranquille Rd., in October.

The theme for this years Kamloops location is Carnival Freakshow.

For those who are deathly afraid of clowns and scary carnivals, this event is not for you.

Broken ride carnage, a haunted opera house, a life-sized Jack-in-the-box, spooky carnival tents and so much more will be on display.

Field of Screams has been haunting Vernon residents since 2013. From it's conception, it has been one of the most terrifying haunted corn mazes in Canada.

Field of Screams includes intricate sets, trained actors, superior sound design and scare tactics that play with your every sense.

Purchase your tickets online to save time in the line ups, or purchase a VIP group pass to skip the lines completely.

This event is not suitable for children.

Field of Screams Kamloops will be held Oct. 9-12, 16-19, 23-26, 30-31 at Sunset Valley Farms.
