ATV thief nabbed

A man found sitting on a stolen ATV outside of a Kamloops business was arrested last week.

Kamloops RCMP initially responded to a report that a man was breaking into a fenced compound on July 28.

An officer attended and saw a man sitting on an ATV outside of the compound, Kamloops RCMP said.

When the officer told the man that he was under arrest, he fled on foot, police said. The officer ran after the suspect and quickly caught up with him.  

The suspect is 40-years-old and from Cache Creek.

All investigational material will be forwarded to the BC Prosecution Service who will determine if there will be charges, RCMP said.
