Classic car can be yours

Ever dream of cruising down main street in a tricked out Camaro?

That dream can be reality with the Habitat for Humanity Kamloops raffle.

The group that builds homes for those in need is raffling off a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS convertible valued at $68,000.

The Chevy was fully restored by Rust Bros.

Habitat for Humanity Kamloops is a non-profit housing organization based in Kamloops and serving communities in the Thompson-Nicola, Columbia-Shuswap, Cariboo and Fraser-Fort George regions of British Columbia.

“We believe that everyone deserves access to safe, decent and affordable housing. With the help of volunteers, donors and community partners, we are planning to build residences for Veterans, seniors, families and Indigenous peoples,” said Bill Miller, executive director of Habitat for Humanity Kamloops. “We plan to have shovels in the ground next month for three families in Skeetchestn, and are looking at upwards of 70+ homes in various locations for 2020.”

Tickets for the Camaro will be available for purchase until Dec. 12.

And the odds of winning are good with only 10,000 raffle tickets being sold. Tickets are $25 and are available for purchase at various locations.

Visit the Habitat for Humanity Kamloops website or Facebook page to find the nearest location. Or send email [email protected]

All proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity Kamloops community projects.
