Hits three cars and a home

Police are working to determine if drugs or alcohol played a factor in a bizarre car incident Monday night.

Police say around 10 p.m. they started receiving calls from the public that a vehicle was moving erratically on Highway 5 northbound.

Police learned while on route to the scene that the driver had exited the highway near Copperhead Drive at a high rate of speed and entered the Pineview area.

The Ford Focus travelled down Foxtail Drive striking three vehicles before colliding with a home.

"The female driver was arrested on scene for dangerous driving and was transported to a local medical facility with head injuries sustained from the airbag in her vehicle," stated Cpl Jodi Shelkie.

"The 59-year-old woman displayed possible signs of impairment and the investigation is ongoing to determine if drugs or alcohol contributed to this incident."

The vehicles that were struck were parked and empty and no one was injured in the home that was hit.

The driver is from Prince George and was not previously known to police.
