Kamloops RCMP has switched gears from helping the victims of a home invasion in Dallas to executing a search warrant for the premises.
This after Police were called to a residence on Badger Drive just after midnight Tuesday.
Police were acting on a tip that a group of people were yelling and kicking in the door at that location.
When police attended they found two residents inside who had been the victims of a home invasion. The assailants had fled the scene and a subsequent search came up empty.
During the course of investigating the break, enter and assault
police found evidence of other criminal activity within the home.
The house has been secured and Kamloops RCMP are now requesting a search warrant.
Police say the victims are now uncooperative and it is unknown if the home invasion was targeted or if the victims of the home invasion were known to the suspects.
The victims had minor injuries and refused ambulance attendance.
