RCMP seek armed man

UPDATE 10:30 p.m.

RCMP have arrested Waylon Fauhlhafer. He was apprehended at a residence on the 100 block of Columbia Street in Kamloops this evening, without incident.

Fauhlhafer is scheduled to appear in Kamloops provincial court Friday, on two outstanding warrants and new charges related to Wednesday's incident.


Kamloops RCMP are searching for a 21-year-old Kamloops man with two outstanding warrants for possession of stolen property.

About 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, Kamloops RCMP members searched a stolen vehicle parked at the Tournament Capital Inn. 

The investigation led to the arrest of a 20-year-old woman involved in a separate incident and a search warrant was later executed at the motel.

Two long guns were located inside the motel room, and RCMP are continuing to investigate a man believed to be associated with the stolen vehicle.  

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Waylon Fauhlhafer is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP or CrimStoppers.

Fauhlhafer is described as: 

  • Caucasian 
  • 5-foot-7 
  • 130 pounds 
  • Hazel eyes  
  • Brown hair 

RCMP warn the public not to approach Fahlhaufer, as he may be in possession of firearms.
