More Cameras For Protection

How many years ago was it that Ottawa was on us for the street camera that RCMP were using to watch downtown. We had to go to court and the government spent a lot of money trying to get them shut down, all about human rights and we were bad people.

What we have seen in London, how fast they were able to pin down the perpetrators, find them and arrest them wherever they went in the world was exceptionally brilliant. It was amazing to see Scotland Yard and the Metropolitan Police do their job. It was all cameras and they were useful and were not a bother to anyone else.

Interesting sidebar from Vancouver where the police rejected a plan in May to install twenty-three cameras downtown after reviewing British research that concluded they were not effective at preventing crime. Vancouver like any major city in the world can be a target because of the way the world is today always vulnerable to some kind of action by these nuts of the world. It can come as it did in Britain from people who already live there. This is a new world we live in today and you can't let your guard down for a minute. These are strange times.

Canadians can probably expect to see more cameras in places like train stations, subways etc. Has it ever bothered you that Kelowna had a couple of cameras, or might add more? We have some serious problems that we should all be concerned about and when you hear the politicians talk about a five-year time period for this to be solved, the police need all the help they can get.

All across the country we have cities adding cameras to their systems we also have groups that are against this surveillance technique and they are fighting it……..

Just what we needed for our diets, huge M&M’s fifty five per cent larger that the one’s you are buying now. The manufacturer says that you the public have demanded these larger pieces and that is why they are producing this limited edition. So now when you’re on that diet and you can have a treat planned for yourself you can have an M&M’s giant size because you wouldn’t be cheating. Funny how I am able to make that work for myself. …
