Take your dreams seriously

My wife and I started talking recently about buying a catamaran for sailing.

We have owned several sailboats and really enjoyed the experience. More to the point, our kids really enjoyed the experience.

The aspect of sailing that I loved with the family was that if anyone had a bad mood day or wanted a pity party, they could choose to do so, but I would never be more than 30-40 feet away.

At some point we are going to have to talk about it. 

For that reason alone as a family we all look back on those sailing memories fondly. 

Life has changed a little now. The kids are older, grand children are visiting regularly and we thought that a catamaran offered a little more room, a slightly calmer sail and you are still never more than 30 or 40 feet apart. 

Being less familiar with catamarans I started to do some research about models, lengths, performance etc.

That was when I discovered an awesome YouTube Channel, Sailing La Vagabonde.

The young couple in the videos have worked really hard to create a lifestyle centred around sailing the world. They work extremely hard to create videos that are educational and entertaining.

Their world opened up when French catamaran manufacturer Outremer decided to contact them and offer a deal to allow them to take ownership of a new catamaran and keep sailing around the world.

They now have a baby, are YouTube sensations, work extremely hard and are inspiring millions of people around the world to take their dreams seriously. 

Definitely make some time over Christmas to tune in to a show or two of theirs, give them a like and share it with a few friends.

And, for goodness sake, take your dreams seriously.

It is too easy to watch a show like this and comment that they are just lucky when they have both worked their rear ends off to achieve what they wanted to.
