WHY: We are Stronger Together. We realized that when we were open about our experience with
postpartum depression, other people felt the courage to be open too. We wanted to build up that
community and create an event for women and families who are suffering or have suffered with
postpartum depression where they could feel safe and supported in their experience. Stronger Together
aims to erase the stigma and provide education about postpartum depression by screening a powerful
documentary and sharing stories of survivors and experts. We are offering a first-of-its-kind event where
attendees can see that they are not alone, and against postpartum depression, we are #strongertogether.

As the area of postpartum depression lacks resources and funding for support, we are thrilled to be
fundraising in support of Canadian Mental Health Association Kelowna for its women’s and family programs.
