Suicide Grief Support group

Grief from suicide is a unique loss, like no other. Losing a loved one to suicide can lead to a number of conflicting feelings and many unanswered questions.

CMHA is offering a support group to people in our community who have lost someone to suicide. Being with others who have experienced a similar loss has proven helpful to others. The knowledge that there are other people who have an understanding of that grief can help participants heal and begin to move forward. Some of our recent participants have commented that, “…it helped knowing that I was not alone” and “every meeting, every person, every story and emotion shared has helped me to learn and grow and heal.”

The group is led by two experienced and caring facilitators. This service is free and is offered as an 8 week program. Following the program, CMHA now offers ongoing monthly support. For information on the next group, please contact [email protected] or call 250 542 3114 extension 236.
