Kettle campaign kick-off

This year’s Salvation Army Christmas Kettle campaign will be “ringing in” with a fun filled celebration at the Kelowna Walmart store starting at 10am until noon on Friday November 22.

Teams of local celebrity personalities will be helping fill the kettles with some friendly competition as together they join in to kick off the 2013 Kettle Campaign.

The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign is one of Canada’s largest and most recognizable annual charitable events.

Major Ron Cartmell shares, “The money raised during our Christmas Kettle campaign allows us to help families in the Central Okanagan throughout the year with a number of community programs for families, single mothers, sports and after school programs for children and youth, Emergency Disaster Services as well as our Emergency food bank.”

Along with the local celebrities and community partners ringing the bells, there will be visits from local team mascots, hot chocolate, music and a ton of Christmas spirit!
