Hot Holiday Homes

Anyone looking for some holiday spirit or decoration ideas for their own humble abode will have the chance to find inspiration as part of Hot Holiday Homes.

The six-house tour was on last night (Friday) and it is on tonight (Saturday Nov. 16) - still time to get your tickets. Funds raised go to support The Nutcracker ‘Making Memories’ event.

What you will see:

  • A beautiful Upper Mission home, named the ‘Stone House’ for its wall to wall natural stone with custom mosaics, stone fireplaces, granite & marble countertops and even designer stone sinks!
  •  A home lovingly transformed by its owners with two master suites, and a private deck that is ready for a party at a moment’s notice. This homeowner loves Christmas and has done much of the decorating herself.
  • A downtown Kelowna residence whose garden was much admired during the Flower Power Garden Tour. Now we’re inside this 1910 Victorian Revival which is home to three generations of creative women.
  • A 5,000 square foot modern-country home that can handle the visits of 5 children and 3 grandchildren with room to spare!
  • A recently renovated, lakefront home with sweeping views of Okanagan Lake from almost every corner. The homeowner’s love of food and wine is obvious with the beautiful kitchen and wine cellar.
  • An ornately detailed custom home with inspiring lake views hidden behind an impressive wood & metal gate. The homeowner will be the artist in residence for the tour.

The homes have been decorated by proud homeowners and talented designers exclusively for this tour and each home is uniquely decorated to highlight trends and enhance the style of the home itself. This year, three West Kelowna homes have been included in the tour, along with three homes in Kelowna.

Tour tickets are available online or at Art Knapp, Bylands, Country Cottage, Ethan Allen, Expressions, Green & Bear It, Lakehouse Home Store and Rick’s Garden World.  Tickets are $45 and groups can save 10 per cent on 10 or more tickets.
