- Attention Star Wars fans: if you thought Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace was too childish, you'll be glad to know that Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith doesn't have that problem. In fact, the final Star Wars movie may be the only one not to get a PG rating. Because of its dark nature, the Motion Picture Association has slapped a PG-13 rating on the flick. GEORGE LUCAS was discussing the film with CBS's LESLIE STAHL on last night's edition of 60 Minutes. When she asked him whether he'd fight the rating, he said that he wouldn't because Revenge of the Sith is a bit strong for a five or six-year-old. Besides, he said, quote, "I could pull it back a little bit, but I don't really want to."
Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith opens in theaters May 19th. - Things certainly smell sweet for DUSTIN HOFFMAN. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hoffman and ALAN RICKMAN have signed on to do Perfume: The Story of a Murderer. Set in 18th century Paris, it's the story of a man who seeks to bottle the scent of a beautiful young virgin he's become obsessed with. Hoffman will play the perfume maker and Rickman will play the father of the virgin in question.
- Fresh off her Oscar win, HILARY SWANK is already back at work. Zap2it.com reports that the 30-year-old Oscar winner has signed on to star in The Reaping. She'll play a woman who debunks myths for a living and is sent to investigate a religious Texas town that's been visited by the ten plagues God inflicted on the Egyptians in the Old Testament of the bible.
- E! Online reports that ER is sticking around for at least two more seasons -- with or without NOAH WYLE. Wyle has indicated that he might leave at the end of this season. He's the only cast member who's been on the show for its entire 11-year run.
